A DBS is required for this role

Brief Job Summary:

  • To manage the financial affairs of Adult Social Care clients who are unable to do so themselves due to mental incapacity and a lack of family/friends suitable to act on their behalf
  • To be responsible for accurate and timely maintenance of clients’ financial information
  • Deal with monthly bank reconciliation; promptly dealing with any queries arising
  • Accurate completion of Office of the Public Guardian Reports, DWP benefit claims and any other claim or appeal forms
  • To work with the Court of Protection, the Department of Work & Pensions, Social Care Teams, legal and financial institutions to identify and evidence clients’ assets and to ensure the appropriate management thereof

Applicants should demonstrate:

  • They hold the required qualifications
  • Work with welfare benefits
  • Work with financial systems
  • Work with the Court of Protection and financial institutions
  • Have or have an awareness of operational and financial aspects of social care

Essential Requirements:

  • An enhanced DBS is required for this role
  • Able to achieve targets and meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Calmness under pressure
  • Investigation and reporting skills
  • Flexibility
  • Numerate, logical and methodical with the ability to interpret information and act upon it
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
