Job description

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and highly organised Aspire SEND & Inclusion Manager to join our team at Hanley Castle High School.

Working under the direction of the SENDCo, you will support the development and implementation of the school’s Inclusion strategy and SEND policy. The role involves managing and coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Aspire provision, leading and supporting the Learning Support Assistant team to ensure high-quality support for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

You will play a key role in coordinating provision for students with SEND, including contributing to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), leading meetings with parents and professionals, and working collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for students.

In addition, you will contribute to the evaluation of SEND provision and interventions, support the professional development of staff, and help promote an inclusive school environment where all students are supported to achieve and thrive.

The successful candidate will have experience working with SEND students and a strong understanding of inclusive practice. They will be confident in leading and supporting a team of Learning Support Assistants, coordinating interventions, and working collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for students. They will also demonstrate a passion for supporting young people with SEND, have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, be able to lead, motivate and develop others, be committed to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing, and build strong relationships with students, families and professionals.

Working hours: 37 hours per week, term-only plus 8 Professional Development Days (PDD’s).

Salary: SO2 SCP26-28, £37,280 – £39,152 FTE. Pro-rated to £32,023 - £33,631 per annum (pay award pending).
