Business Compliance Officer

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Business Compliance Officer to support the delivery of our Consumer Standards Improvement Project and officer governance groups as part of the housing assurance framework.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that is driving significant service improvements and strengthening the Council’s approach to regulatory compliance, governance and performance. Working closely with a Project Manager, you will play an important role in ensuring that reports, papers and compliance information are prepared, organised and distributed in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and coordination support to the Consumer Standards Improvement Project and other business improvement initiatives. Prepare, collate and distribute reports, briefing papers and supporting documentation for officer and Member meetings. Maintain compliance records, action trackers, project documentation and evidence files. Support the collection and organisation of service information and performance data for reporting purposes. Arrange meetings, prepare agendas and record actions to support effective project and governance arrangements. Work with colleagues to obtain information required for compliance monitoring and governance reporting. About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience providing administrative, project or business support. Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
Can communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
Is confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
Can handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion. Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive working relationships. Has an interest in governance, compliance, performance improvement or project delivery. Experience of working within a local authority, governance environment or compliance-related role would be advantageous but is not essential.

The intention is for the postholder to work predominately from home however, it is a requirement to attend our offices or sites within Warwick District as required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate. However, office and hybrid working are also available.
