Avanti chaplaincy offers the opportunity for a
gifted individual with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to help nurture
the school’s ethos and support our students, staff and families on their
spiritual journeys. The chaplain will support/lead assemblies, festivals,
small-group dialogue, devotional activities and spiritual wellbeing sessions.
The chaplain will share spiritual insight in
accessible, relevant ways. They will guide and helps others to flourish
through meaningful conversation and self-discovery. The role also involves
practices such as guided meditations, breath work, reflective exercises,
creative and nature-led activities, all within a spiritual context.
What will you do?
- Contribute
to the spiritual insight provision at school by leading/supporting
assemblies and festival activities.
- Lead
student, staff, and parent spiritual insight discussion groups and
workshops.
- Support
the pastoral care of children with spiritual wellbeing sessions for small
groups and 1-1.
- Develop
chaplaincy in the school, including implementation and assessment of
impact.
- Develop
social outreach and community projects, and parent workshops so that the
Avanti Way can be nurtured in all aspects of students’ lives.
