We
are looking for a Cover Supervisor to join our team from 1st September 2026. This
is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people,
is considering a career in teaching or who wants to take a step back from
full-time teaching.
LGA
Pay Scale 5, Point 13-17 £29,064-£31,022 time equivalent. Actual pro rata salary £22,356.92 per annum (Pay Award
Pending). The hours of work are 31.25 per week Monday to Friday 8.15am-3.30pm (term
time only, paid for 47.36 weeks per year).
We require an enthusiastic,
confident person to be our Cover Supervisor who willsupervise a group of students
during the short-term absence of a teacher.
You will ensure the students carry out a pre-prepared lesson; you will
not be required to plan or mark work. The
Cover Supervisor will maintain good order and keep students on task, responding
to questions and generally assisting them to undertake set activities. The successful candidate will be required to support
our students and have a general love for learning. You will work as part of a team or on your own
under the direction of the Assistant Head and Cover Administrator. The
role involves supervising students in the absence of their teacher, carrying
out academic mentoring and contributing to the school community. Please also
