Job description

Perranporth School, part of Truro & Penwith Academy Trust, is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and highly effective part-time teacher (0.6 FTE Wed – Fri) to join our team on a fixed-term basis from 1st September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a welcoming, community-focused school in a beautiful coastal setting. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering an engaging, inclusive and ambitious curriculum, ensuring that every pupil achieves their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the school’s curriculum

Create a positive, inclusive and motivating classroom environment

Assess, track and support pupil progress effectively

Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families

Contribute to the wider life of the school and Trust

About You:

The Ideal Candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Demonstrate strong classroom practice and subject knowledge

Be passionate about improving outcomes for all pupils

Have excellent communication and teamwork skills

Show commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

Perranporth is a thriving school at the heart of our Cornish community. We are perfectly situated just a short walk from Perranporth Beach. Our school is one form entry, has 7 classes with 210 pupils on roll.
