More Voices, More Choices is a test of change project funded by Whole Family Wellbeing that aims to reach more young people with experience of care and ensure that the Council is listening and working alongside people with lived experience to improve its services.
We are looking for a CLD Support Worker to help us take the project forward. In this role, you will
Work as part of a small team
Plan and deliver a range of learning and development opportunities that build the confidence and capacity of care experienced young people to effect change
Work in and across school clusters and communities
This exciting opportunity requires someone who is passionate about making a difference and is able to demonstrate a knowledge of:
Issues affecting young people who are in care or leaving care
The care system in Scotland
Children’s Rights and Child Protection issues
Current policy and practice in relation to children and young people encountering the care system
It is expected that you will:
be registered or will work towards registration with the Community Learning and Development Standards Council.
You will work 18.5 hours per week.
This post is temporary until June 2027 due to service requirement.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership, the cost of which will be met by the preferred candidate.
