Job description

Thank you for your interest in applying for the role of Cleaner at St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, part of the Blessed Edward Bamber Catholic Multi Academy Trust.

We are seeking a dedicated cleaner to help provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children and staff. The role involves general cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas.

We are looking for:

  • A dependable and punctual individual
  • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential (training will be provided)

The role is offered on a permanent basis for 17.5 hours per week (2:30pm - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday).

St Teresa’s is a one form entry, Catholic School situated in Cleveleys, on the Fylde Coast, north of Blackpool covering the parishes of St Teresa and St John Southworth.

DBS

Medical clearance

Verification of qualifications and National Insurance number.

Two references including a judgement about suitability to work with children.

A member of the interview panel will be trained in implementing Child Protection procedures.

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, online search be carried out.

For teaching positions, barred list checks and prohibition from teaching checks will be carried out.

For leadership positions, section 128 checks will be performed.

Grade: Foundation Living Wage

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Contract: Permanent
