Due to internal promotion and service expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Lung function and sleep unit at St Georges hospital. We are looking for a highly motivated sleep and respiratory physiologist to join our team.
As the successful candidate, you will be required to perform a full range of lung function investigations including reversibility and skin prick testing. You will need to have an understanding of diagnostic sleep testing, analysis of respiratory sleep studies including pulse oximetry and transcutaneous CO2 monitoring, and CPAP treatment including titration, trouble shooting, advice and maintenance in conjunction with the wider respiratory team.
As a prestigious teaching hospital we are closely linked to the University and play a role in the teaching of students. You will be expected to play a role in the education and training of respiratory physiology students as well as other healthcare professionals including physiotherapists, nursing staff, medical students and junior doctors. Appropriate support and training will be offered.
A Clinical Physiology/Healthcare Science BSc or equivalent is required. ARTP Practitioner level desired if degree differs. Current Yr 3 BSc Healthcare Science students will be accepted and supported. The appointee should be RCCP registered or working towards RCCP registration.
