About the Role

Would you like to be part of an exciting journey by joining a newly opened and growing school, based at our brand-new site with outstanding facilities off Thorpeville, to start at the beginning of the new academic year?

Northampton School (part of The NSB Trust) is looking for a versatile and enthusiastic member of staff to work as an integral part of our Inclusion Team working closely and supporting students with a range of diverse needs which can impact on their learning.

Working with the support of the SENDCo you will have responsibility for implementing programmes with individuals/groups both inside and outside of the classroom, with up to 75% of your time as classroom based, often providing support to pupils with a cognition and learning need who continue to work in the primary phase.

The role will include liaising with teachers about the needs of students, ensuring they can access the curriculum and may include the management and preparation of resources. This role will also include liaising with external agencies.

About You

  • You must have great organisational skills, be a good communicator and a self-starter, have a willingness to learn and be part of a pro-active team to identity, monitor and close any emerging gaps;
  • You must be motivated, determined and resilient when supporting students with SEND;
  • You must ensure school is a pleasant, safe and secure learning environment so that all students feel at ease.
  • You must collaborate to deliver whole school strategies that ensure all students make rapid progress.
  • You must model professional skills when working with parents/carers and outside agencies.
  • You must be willing to undertake additional training, including areas such as Dyslexia and SALT, to provide targeted support that meets the evolving needs of our students.
  • You must follow the Graduated Approach to ensure students are supported with appropriate provision.

What We Offer

  • A brand-new school with exceptional facilities and an ambitious and supportive team environment.
  • Extensive CPD and leadership development opportunities across The NSB Trust.
  • The opportunity to be part of a growing school community from its early stages.
