IT Technician

Based at Wellfield School We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and motivated IT Technician to join our IT Team at Wellfield School.

The role will be based at Wellfield School, with the expectation that the successful candidate will also provide IT support across our primary schools within the Trust, ensuring a consistent and high-quality IT service across all sites.

Working under the direction of the Network Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of IT systems. This will include processing, resolving, and updating IT issues, as well as maintaining both administrative and curriculum networks. You will play a key role in ensuring staff receive timely and effective technical support.

This is a varied, hands-on position suited to a proactive and enthusiastic individual who is confident working independently as well as part of a team. The role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, supporting Windows deployment, rebuilding devices, and assisting with wireless network configuration. Travel between sites, including primary schools, will form a regular part of the role.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational skills who can build effective working relationships with both colleagues and students across different settings. A positive, solution-focused approach is essential, along with a solid working knowledge of relevant IT systems. You will also need to demonstrate high levels of integrity and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Applicants should ideally hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or be able to demonstrate suitable experience in providing first-line technical support.

Connect Multi-Academy Trust is legally obligated to process a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before making appointments to relevant posts. The DBS check will reveal both spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and bind-overs as well as pending prosecutions, which aren't 'protected' under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and check to establish that a person is not barred from 'regulated activity' as defined by the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006.

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust. You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
