Learning Support Assistant

Start date: 1st September 2026

Contract: Part-time, 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, fixed term to 31 August 2027 (linked to a named pupil)

Salary: NJC Scale 2, SP 3-4  (FTE £24,795 - £25,185 / Actual £20,732 - £21,058 per annum)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Learning Support Assistant. You will be required to:

  • Support a student on an EHCP.
  • Lead small group intervention as directed by the SENCO.
  • Work on a one to one basis with students.
  • Provide personal and medical care and support for individual students (full training will be provided)

Therefore, we are looking for someone who:

  • Can work independently but contribute to a strong team ethos
  • Is willing to work flexibly
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is able to solve problems and be proactive
