total)
Salary: Grade C £22,187 - £23,670 (FTE £25,185 - £26,243)
We
are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Intervention Practitioner to join our
passionate and friendly team. This specialised role focuses on sensory needs
and occupational therapy, involving support both within mainstream classrooms
and in The Croft, our dedicated Resourced Provision for autistic students
accessing a mainstream curriculum.
Working under the direction of the Autism
Coordinator and external specialists (such as Occupational Therapists), you
will lead small-group and tailored interventions designed to help students
thrive. A key focus will be improving emotional well-being, supporting academic
progress, and raising attainment in close collaboration with teaching staff.
Working effectively as part of a team is essential, as is a sense of humour and
the ability to build strong relationships based on students' individual
interests. Previous experience with autism and a solid understanding of how it
impacts learning are highly desirable but not essential.
