Job description

This is a permanent appointment for a Resident Doctor in General Surgery to join the Gastrointestinal and General Surgery services within Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

You will join the GI and General Surgical team which currently consists of nine colorectal cancer surgeons, four upper GI and bariatric surgeons and one upper GI surgeon. All consultant surgeons carry out general surgery and their chosen specialised work and participate in the general surgery emergency on call rota.

You will work within the Surgery and Cancer Services Division and be accountable to the Divisional Director, and the Medical Director of the Trust.

A job plan for the post, taking due account of the terms and conditions of service for Hospital Medical and Dental Staff, will be finally agreed with the Clinical director after appointment.
