Lunchtime Supervisor (Grade 2)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 12.00 PM – 1:00 PM (Term Time Only plus Sept INSET Days)

Contract: Permanent Contract.

Salary: Grade 2 (Pro Rata)

Location: St Augustine’s CE Academy, Pipehay Lane, Draycott in the Clay, DE6 5BY

Start date: 1st September 2026

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Lunchtime Supervisor to provide care and support to the children in all aspects of the school lunch break.  The role will include supervising and supporting pupils eating their lunch and in outdoor play activities. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, calm, and enjoys working with children in a supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising the children during their mealtime in the dinner hall, including assisting the younger children with the use of cutlery and ensuring the children leave their space clean and tidy. Supervising outdoor playtime, patrolling the playground and organising games and activities. Providing basic first aid in case of minor injury and recording this in the accident book. Requirements:

Paediatric First Aid trained or willing to complete training Experience working with children in a similar setting is desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Level 1 Safeguarding trained or willing to complete training This is a term-time only role with working hours of 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Monday to Friday.
