An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our Band 7 Safeguarding Children Nurse Specialists for the Hertfordshire Multi- Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). We are looking to appoint one full-time Practitioner at Band 6. However, part-time hours, a minimum of 0.8WTE (30 hours) would also be considered. Our nurses work to ensure that health is an active partner in the multi-agency risk assessment, notification and referral of children (0-18 yrs).
You will be required, after initial training, to work autonomously searching for and collating health information from HCT records system (SystmOne) with due regard to patient confidentiality. In addition, you will also be required to liaise with health partners. You will collate, risk assess and share information necessary to safeguard and/or promote the welfare of a child onto a pre-formatted template and return within prescribed timelines having an awareness and understanding of issues of consent to share and when they can be overridden. This will also include ensuring information is shared with relevant practitioners in Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT). The successful candidates will have excellent verbal, written communication and analytical skills in order to contribute to decision making within the MASH, managing and prioritising their workload.
