Pensions Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Calculating and processing pension transfers, including transfers in and out of the Fund.
- Managing divorce cases, ensuring accurate calculations, compliance with pension sharing orders, and clear communication with members and external agencies.
- Checking and validating calculations and payments to maintain accuracy, compliance, and a high standard of service.
- Contributing to project work, including system improvements, regulatory changes, and service development initiatives.
- Supporting Pensions Assistants, offering guidance, quality checking, and sharing technical knowledge to help build capability within the team.

- Has excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Can manage a varied workload with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communicates clearly and professionally with members, employers, and stakeholders.
- Enjoys problem‑solving and working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Ideally has experience in pension administration

The Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. The Fluency Duty for this role is Required. You must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
