Playworkers needed for September 2026
Are you caring, enthusiastic and enjoy working with children?
We’d love you to join our supportive team at Talbot Primary School’s highly‑regarded before and after school club, Rain and Shine.
We have a range of permanent and fixed‑term (term‑time only) positions available.
Pay: Grade 2, SCP 3-4 (£12.85-£13.05 per hour) pay award pending
The purpose of this job is:
- To provide care and supervision for pupils out of school hours.
- To assist the team in the delivery of age and need appropriate activities
- Work in partnership with parents, carers and teaching staff to improve access and develop opportunities for children to play whilst promoting their wellbeing.

You don’t need specific childcare qualifications or experience - just:
- A caring, positive attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children
- Experience working with primary-aged children (paid or voluntary) is desirable but not essential
