SAFEGUARDING LEAD CO-ORDINATOR
20 hours per week, 39 weeks (Term time including training days)
Salary: G6 (S.C.P.’s 18 – 23) Actual salary: SCP 18 = £14,727.47 to SCP 23 = £16,080.34
This is a fixed term post until 31.08.27
A Safeguarding Lead Coordinator is required to be accountable to the Head Teacher and Governing Body for all Safeguarding matters in school.
The Safeguarding Lead Coordinator will ensure effective communication and co-ordination of all aspects of Safeguarding monitoring, delivering training and record keeping throughout the school. This person will provide Safeguarding advice and guidance to staff working in the school and will challenge poor safeguarding practice. They will take on the day-to-day responsibility for all safeguarding and child protection matters arising at the school, supporting all staff, as well as ensuring that staff are kept fully updated of changes, policies, procedures and
Legislation with regard to Safeguarding. This will be achieved by delivering high quality safeguarding training to staff members on all aspects of child protection and safeguarding.
The Safeguarding Lead will offer advice and support to parents, carers and members of the public about any concerns that they may have, ensuring compliance with all statutory duties for schools. This person will liaise with other agencies and will embed learning and challenge within the school.
