Job description
What We Are Looking For
- A qualified teacher (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
- Possession of the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCO) or the new National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (NPQ LEND) (or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment).
- Deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the new White Paper and its practical application in a primary setting.
- An empathetic communicator who builds strong, trust-based relationships with families and staff.
- A proactive problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and fiercely advocates for children.
- An advocate for inclusion who can build on and improve SEND practice across the school.
- Someone who can build strong collaborative relationships with parents, pupils, staff and external agencies.
