Senior Assistant Psychologist

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust · London, SE1 2EL

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for several Senior Assistant Psychologists to join one of three Mental Health Requirement (MHTR) services across London. These services aim to provide an alternative to short custodial sentences, by providing individuals on community sentences access to mental health treatment which addresses the underlying cause of their offending. These are primary care services which deliver direct, short-term psychological interventions to service users.

Through this advert, we are recruiting to 4 whole time equivalent (WTE) posts across three teams:

1 WTE post in the South London Men's MHTR Service (Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust)

1 WTE post in the North West London Men's MHTR Service (Central & North West (CNWL) London NHS Foundation Trust)

2 WTE posts in the Pan-London Women's MHTR Service (Oxleas & CNWL NHS Foundation Trust)

Successful applicants will be appointed and contracted to either Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust or Central & North West London (CNWL) NHS Foundation Trust dependent on a suitable service agreed following successful interview.

If you have a preference for a particular service (South London Men's MHTR, North West London Men's MHTR, or Women's MHTR), please indicate this at the end of your supporting statement.

Please note: as well as DBS checks, successful applicants will also be expected to undertake HMPPS security vetting.
