FELLOWSHIP IN VITREORETINAL GENE THERAPYJOB SUMMARYThe VITREORETINAL GENE THERAPY fellowship is available at the John Radcliffe Hospital from 1 August 2026 to 31 July 2028.This post is suitable for doctors who have completed their training but seek experience in VITREORETINAL SURGERY in relation to GENE THERAPY and clinical trials prior to obtaining a consultant appointment. It is not a post for general vitreoretinal surgical training and nor is it approved for training by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Candidates are welcome to visit the department and are invited to contact the Consultant, Professor Robert MacLaren, Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Oxford Eye Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Tel: Oxford 01865 234567, PA contact maclaren@eye.ox.ac.uk). The post is for one year in the first instance but extendable to two years with a final completion date of 31 July 2028. It is funded by the NIHR Oxford Biomedical Research Centre, an NHS research programme.
