St Nicholas CE (VC) First School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Site Technician to join our passionate, enthusiastic, and forward-thinking team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a committed, experienced individual with practical handyperson skills. We are looking for someone eager to develop their expertise in school compliance and health and safety. You will join an Academy site team of three, working collaboratively to share knowledge and skills across the Trust. Training will be fully provided to the successful applicant to ensure you have the right tools for the job.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the school building and coordinate contractors for major repairs.
- Complete and document all health, safety, and compliance checks (e.g., water and temperature checks).
- Proactively address minor repairs quickly and efficiently to keep the school safe and tidy.
- Manage evening lock-up duties and liaise courteously with members of the public and lettings.
- Cover colleague absences and holidays within the Academy site team as required.
- Undertake overtime and longer days for larger projects as needed.
- Take on small repairs and maintenance projects as required
- Be available to open and lock in pre-agreed times for PTFA events, evenings or weekends - this will be paid as overtime
- Support the handling of school deliveries, ensuring all items are received promptly and distributed efficiently to the correct recipient.

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday (Split Shift: 3 hours in the morning,(7am – 10am) 1 hour in the evenings)
