POST: Specialist SEND Administration Manager
LOCATION: Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust
SALARY: Band F SCP 26 – 31 £37,280 - £41,772 per annum pro rata (Actual salary £33,695 - £37,755 per annum)
HOURS: 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week
This is a new role that we are developing within the central team and is linked to the new SEND Reforms. The role will be shaped and developed as more information, guidance and legislation emerges.
The SEND Administration Manager will provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Trust’s central SEND team. Working closely with the Director of SEND and other key central colleagues, the postholder will play a critical role in ensuring the effective coordination, compliance, and communication across the Trust.
The postholder will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality, timely information sharing with schools and SENDCos, supporting statutory processes, and enabling the central team to operate effectively through strong administrative systems, attention to detail, and proactive organisation.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate:
The successful candidate will:
- Evidence of higher education study
- Safeguarding Level 1
- Experience of handling, managing and recording confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and commitment to high standards
- Advanced IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- A working knowledge of SEND processes and terminology, including EHCPs, statutory responsibilities and key timelines
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Good understanding of the needs of pupils with SEND and the importance of inclusive practice
