We are seeking a committed Specialty Doctor to join our multi-disciplinary team atTaith Newydd, Low Secure Unit, Glanrhyd Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care for adults with complex mental health needs, often detained under the Mental Health Act.
Working under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will contribute to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness, and develop Care and Treatment Plans in line with the Mental Health (Wales) Measure. You will participate in ward rounds, risk assessments, and clinical governance activities, ensuring patient safety and recovery-focused care.
The post offers opportunities for involvement in teaching, audit, and service development within a supportive University Health Board environment. We value innovation, teamwork, and continuous professional development, and encourage participation in our academic programme.
Post is to commence after 17th June 2026 on a permanent basis. This is a basic 10 session contract - Normal working days only - no on call commitment.
