Teacher of English (with possibility of TLR)
Myton School · Warwick
We are looking to appoint an inspiring and outstanding classroom practitioner to add to our team: someone who is ambitious and able to share their enthusiasm and passion for English with all of their students and colleagues. Whether you are looking for a full or part time position, we would love to hear from you!
We are a passionate, collaborative, successful English department made up of staff from a wealth of different experiences and subject strengths, open to reflection, with the desire to evolve and develop. English is a successful and popular subject at Myton and we have a growing uptake at A-level where we offer both A level Language and literature.
We have a curriculum tailored to suit all and, as a truly comprehensive school, we strive to ensure that all students can access learning and feel successful. Through our revitalised Key Stage 3 curriculum and our Key Stage 4 approach, we seek to ensure our students leave Myton with, not only the qualifications they need for their next steps, but that they are ready to read the world around them.
We have an inclusive department, and we prioritise offering enrichment opportunities for all including our success with the Young Poet Laureate initiative and promoting a love of language for all through exciting guest speakers. Working alongside our dedicated Drama and Media colleagues, our Library team and Literacy coordinator, we are a strong team and would welcome applications from both experienced English teachers and those new to the profession.
As a large school there are always opportunities to develop. If you are interested, please contact the Head of English, Joanna Godwin, via email at godwin.j@myton.co.uk
