TEACHING ASSISTANT ADDITIONAL NEEDS
Salary: Grade 3, SCP 5 (£25,583) Actual salary £16,004 approx. depending on years of service
Contract: Temporary until 20th July 2027 (Funding Dependent)
Working Hours: Term Time only (38 pupil weeks). Additional time may be required on INSET days for training which will receive an additional payment
Monday to Friday 8.45 am – 12.00 pm and 1.15 pm – 3.30 pm (27.5 hrs per week)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced & enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work with our children with Special Educational Needs
This role is a unique opportunity to work across different areas of the school delivering 1-1 and group interventions. This might be in class or within our Specialist Resource Provision ‘The Nest.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an NVQ L2/L3 Qualification or equivalent
- Have a good level of English and Maths skills
- Experience of supporting children with ASC, SEMH or communication & interaction needs would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
- Whilst work will be guided by the SEND team, the successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to use their own initiative when required.
