Weddington Primary School are looking to recruit, two teaching assistants

The Governors and headteacher of this happy, caring school are looking for 2 Inspirational Teaching Assistants to work during term time.

We require 2 Teaching Assistants for the forthcoming academic year from September 2026, the posts will be for 1 permanent position and one fixed term until 31/8/2027.

The positions are Monday to Friday 32 hours and 30 mins per week TTO plus 5 teacher training days.

Key Requirements

Able to keep calm under pressure and prioritise.

Has experience working with children and showing a high level of care.

Has a variety of skills;

• Able to build good relationships with children and adults.
• Good communication.
• Empathy with pupils, especially those with learning difficulties.
• Good listening skills.
• Being patient.
• Being able to take direction but be prepared to take initiative when required.
• Have a good knowledge of how a school works.
