Job Summary – Teaching Assistant Level 2
We are seeking a committed and supportive Teaching Assistant to work under the direction of teaching and senior staff, supporting individuals and small groups of pupils to access learning and achieve their full potential. The role involves delivering targeted support programmes, including for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring their safety, inclusion, and engagement in school activities.
The successful candidate will help manage classroom behaviour, promote positive relationships, and encourage pupils’ independence and development. They will support the implementation of learning activities, monitor pupil progress, provide feedback, and assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation.
In addition, the role involves contributing to assessment activities, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the wider school environment, including supervision outside the classroom and participation in trips and school events. A strong commitment to safeguarding, teamwork, and ongoing professional development is essential.
