Working Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 28.75 hours per week (9.00am – 3.30pm)
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Millbrook Primary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Key Stage 1 or 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
- Work with small groups and individual pupils to boost attainment, particularly in English and Maths.
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of interventions.
- Provide general classroom and administrative support, including preparation of resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Work in line with school policies on safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, and report concerns appropriately.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including trips, events, and enrichment activities.

- Has experience working in primary education.
- Has strong subject knowledge and is confident with the National Curriculum.

- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A relevant qualification (such as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable.
- A good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential.
