Newtown Nursery School provides high quality early education to children aged 9 months two to 4 years of age. We are looking for a practitioner with suitable experience of working with young children to join our team. Not only do you need to be a good or outstanding practitioner but also flexible, resilient and able to contribute innovative ideas.
Newtown Nursery School is an outstanding school (March 2024). The school is highly inclusive where everyone is valued. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are very well supported. Staff are very skilled at delivering an exciting curriculum because of the excellent training they receive. Staff morale is high. There is an unmistakable sense of collaboration and teamwork.
Birmingham Federation of Maintained Nursery Schools consists of nine Nursery Schools delivering inclusive high-quality early education and care to children aged 0-5 across Birmingham. We have a vibrant and enthusiastic staff of teachers, teaching assistants, nursery officers, play workers, administrators and other support staff who make up our large staff team. As well as outstanding provision for children and families we are committed to staff professional development and you would have opportunities to be part of the wider and developing role of our nursery schools. Our settings are culturally diverse with a large number of languages spoken. We have a reputation for supporting children with a range of complex Special Educational Needs and disabilities as well as support for families who may have additional challenges in their lives. We offer a mixture of provision, including fee paying, as well as before and after School provision in most schools.
