Job description

Portland Spencer Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ school situated in Bilborough, Nottingham and we are looking for enthusiastic, highly skilled, committed and flexible Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. Our Level 3 TA roles are varied, dynamic and exciting including short term whole class cover for PPA sessions.

We are looking for someone who:

  • has relevant qualifications and training in line with the new DFE qualifications list. i.e. NVQ/CACHE in working with children
  • can offer outstanding support for teaching
  • is keen to lead in a classroom as part of a team
  • has experience of supporting teaching and learning across school from EYFS to KS2
  • has a wide range of behaviour management techniques
  • has a commitment to making a difference to children’s lives
  • has drive and an enthusiastic approach to work as a positive member of an excellent team
  • has excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
  • has an ability to foster strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers and other professionals
