An opportunity has arisen for a physiotherapy assistant to work in the Community Paediatric Physiotherapy service in Bury. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Physiotherapy Assistant. You will work alongside a team of qualified physiotherapists in delivering treatment programmes, which will include Hydrotherapy and the use of specialised equipment. There will be some lone working. The role will involve working in Mainstream, Millwood and Elmsbank Special Schools, patient's homes and in a clinic setting. There will also be some administrative, stock control and infection control management duties. This post involves travelling between schools, homes and our clinic base.
You will possess previous experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant or working in a social care, nursing or customer care setting. You must be flexible, organised, have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team. You must be able to work within a fast-paced environment that can be physically demanding. The post offers the opportunity to develop skills including postural management, hydrotherapy and equipment management.
Computer literacy skills and good organisational skills are essential.
