Band B

Full time - 36 Hours per week

Permanent

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking and positive Cleaner to join our friendly school team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys being part of a supportive team and loves animals.

The role includes cleaning classrooms, corridors, toilets, offices and shared areas, as well as general duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting and emptying bins.

A unique part of the role will also involve cleaning and maintaining the areas used by our on-site animals, so we're looking for someone who is confident around animals and happy to help keep their environment clean and well cared for.

The position is 5 days per week, with one of those days being a weekend day. Working hours can be negotiated to suit both the successful candidate and the needs of the school.

Previous cleaning experience would be helpful, but reliability, enthusiasm, attention to detail and a positive attitude are what matter most.

We offer a welcoming workplace, supportive colleagues and modern cleaning equipment, including the industry leading I-mop system.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early applications are encouraged.

The Observatory School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

The successful applicant will be subject to appropriate safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check.
