What GovJobs is
GovJobs is an independent search engine that aggregates publicly available UK public-sector job adverts. We are not the employer, not a recruiter, and not a government service. Applications are made on the official source website, not on GovJobs.
Accuracy of listings
We work hard to keep listings accurate and current, but details such as salary, closing date, and availability are controlled by the source. Always confirm details on the official advert before applying. Each listing shows when it was last checked and links to the original.
Your account
Searching and reading listings needs no account. Saving jobs, setting up email alerts and following the apply link to the employer need an account with a confirmed email address. Creating an account is free. You are responsible for keeping your password private, and you can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Membership
GovJobs is member-supported. From 1 September 2026, following the apply link on a listing requires an active GovJobs membership. Membership does not change what you can search or read, and it does not change which jobs we list or how we rank them.
- Price. Membership costs £1 a month, billed monthly in advance. It renews automatically each month until you cancel. If we ever change the price, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
- Payment. Payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe’s own secure pages. GovJobs never sees or stores your full card details. Your card statement will show GOVJOBS.UK. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it; if it still fails, your membership lapses and the apply links lock again until you update your payment method.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your membership page (“Manage billing”). You will not be charged again, and you keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not give partial refunds for the remainder of a month.
- Changing your mind. If you cancel within 14 days of first joining, email sales@uniqevo.co.uk and we will refund your first payment. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
- What membership is not. Membership gives you access to the apply links on GovJobs. It is not a recruitment service, does not put you forward for any job, and does not guarantee that any listing is still open or that you will be shortlisted or hired. Applications are always made, and decided, on the employer’s own site.
- Ending a membership. We may end a membership that is used to breach these terms, for example to scrape or resell listings. If we end a membership for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of the current month.
Acceptable use
You may not scrape, resell, or bulk-download listings, share a membership between people, or use the service to send spam. Accounts that abuse the service may be suspended.
Liability
The service is provided “as is”. We are not liable for decisions made based on listings, for missed deadlines, or for the content of third-party sites we link to. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change affects membership pricing or what membership includes, we will email members before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when the terms were last changed.
