Job description
Role: Cleaning Operatives
Department: Estates & Facilities Management
Location: Various locations within South Yorkshire
Salary: £24,747 pro rata
Hours: Varied
Contract Type: Permanent
The cleaning services function ensures that the offices, toilets, changing rooms, shower rooms, kitchens, public areas, meeting and conference rooms and all other working areas, furniture, equipment, and floor spaces are maintained to a high level of general cleanliness and remain presentable and fit for their intended purpose.
As a Cleaning Operative you are responsible for undertaking cleaning operations, organising, and planning routine tasks to ensure that locations are cleaned to the standard required. You will be required to cover locations within your area to cover for abstractions.
- 20 hours at Moss Way, Sheffield
- 10 hours at Operations Complex, Sheffield
- 15 hours at Carbrook- Force HQ, Sheffield
- 20 hours at Carbrook- Force HQ, Sheffield
- 27 hours at Robert Dyson House, Rotherham
- Industrial/Commercial Cleaning work history or equivalent
- Experience of working to specifications
- BIC’s trained or willing to work towards a qualification.
- Trained in Chemical identification (COSHH) or willing to work towards a qualification.
- Willing to work unsociable hours as required.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral

This role has been categorised as a Fixed role.
Fixed: This is a traditional arrangement, applicable when the work is mostly required to be undertaken at a fixed single place of work (on police premises) for most of the time. The work can only or is more effectively delivered from a police premises or other agreed organisational/partner premises.

Closing dates are not normally extended, other than in exceptional circumstances and agreement is made between the Recruitment Manager and the Line Manager for the role.
