We are looking for someone who would like to develop their knowledge and experience within the area of First Episode Psychosis and work within a large and busy multi professional team.

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with current NMC registration. Evidence of continuing professional development e.g. relevant training
Significant post registration experience in a mental health setting
Experience of working in a community setting
Experience of working with service users with psychosis
Experience of the use of evidence based interventions relating to the care of service users with psychosis
Knowledge of current Government Policy and Guidelines concerning the provision of community mental health care in general and of Early intervention in Psychosis in particular
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to provide care that is sensitive to the needs of minority groups
Understanding of the supervision process

Essential: - Qualified RMN with current aligned professional registration; - Evidence of continuing professional development e.g. relevant training; - Significant post registration experience in a mental health setting

Essential: - Experience of working in a community setting; - Experience of working with service users with psychosis; - Experience of working with service users when acutely ill; - Experience of the use of evidence based interventions relating to the care of service users with psychosis; - Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team; - Experience of partnership working with statutory and voluntary services
Desirable: - Experience of carrying out Family Interventions; - Experience of carrying out CBT; - Experience of working with first episode psychosis; - Experience of carrying out relapse prevention work with individuals with psychosis; - Understanding of Care Co-ordination under CPA
