We ae excited to advertise a new role within the Croydon A&L service which will involve working in conjunction with the Croydon Health & wellbeing spa...

The post holder will work across the Croydon Assessment & Liaison Team (3 days a week) and The Croydon Health and wellbeing space (2 days a week), providing group and individual work, including psychoeducation, crisis management, carers support, and psychological and emotional support. The post holder will be responsible for co-facilitating groups at the CHWS and supporting a small caseload of patients in Croydon A&L.

Essential: - NVQ Level 3 completed in a mental health setting or equivalent qualification.

Desirable: - Undergraduate degree (e.g. Bsc Psychology, or equivalent; - Training in other specific interventions e.g. CBT/ DBT therapy, solution focused therapy

Essential: - Experience of working in community mental health or acute inpatient settings; - Experience of facilitating psychological or emotional support groups; - Experience of supporting patients during a mental health crisis; - Experience that supports working with, and addressing issues of, diversity within local communities

Desirable: - Experience of delivering psychoeducation; - Experience of supporting carers/relatives

Essential: - Good theoretical knowledge of the problems experienced by and needs of at least one client group and of methods of assessment and treatment.; - Ability to present information both written and oral and communicate this effectively

Desirable: - Knowledge of psychological therapies (i.e. CBT, MBT, DBT, ACT); - Knowledge of social care needs and support available; - Ability to conduct clinical audits

Essential: - Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, participating in effective team functioning and holding team roles.; - Ability to identify and follow relevant clinical governance procedures; - Ability to communicate complex, sensitive or contentious information to people who may have impediments to understanding
