Role Overview:As a Clinical Practitioner within the children's services urgent care umbrella, you will assess children and young people referred to the service, collaborating closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure coordinated, holistic, and effective care pathways.
- Experience in crisis or acute care, supporting mental health needs and assessment. Children's experience is desirable.
- Strong assessment, risk management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

We are looking for practitioners with Professional registration in mental health nursing, social work or allied health professionals, you will need a demonstrable level of clinical experience, and to be an excellent communicator and a good team player. You will need to be passionate and committed to delivering a service to a high standard, as well as being able to work in partnership with other teams and services including the Acute Trust hospital.
CALT (CYP- MH Acute Liaison Team) currently work 365 days a year and offer a 12 hour service per day (8am to 8pm) 7 days a week to complete triages/assessments at the Children's Emergency Department at Acute Trust hospital UHCW. The Band 6 posts will require flexibility that reflects the service needs, you will need to be able to work shifts including weekends .
For information the service is hoping to develop further and be available 24hrs per day in the future so there may also be a requirement to work nights going forward.

Essential: - Relevant Professional qualification, e.g., social worker, nurse, occupational therapist, speech & language therapist, psychotherapist, psychologist, counsello; - Current Registration with relevant professional body. Significant experience working with children and adolescents; - Evidence of continuing professional development
Essential: - Substantial experience in mental health; - Significant experience of undertaking assessment, formulation, risk assessment and positive risk management
