Job description

  • West Suffolk College, Bury St Edmunds
  • 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year - Permanent
  • Salary: £26,703 - £29,058 per annum (Dependent on qualifications and experience)

We are seeking an organised and proactive professional to coordinate a caseload of students, sourcing, planning and monitoring meaningful industry and work placements. You will work closely with students, employers and curriculum teams to ensure placements are well matched, effectively planned and provide valuable opportunities for students to develop their skills and workplace experience.

You will prepare students for placements through learning activities, project work and skills development, match learners with suitable employers, and regularly visit and assess students in the workplace against relevant course and occupational standards. You will monitor attendance and progress, maintain accurate records and ensure evidence meets assessment and funding requirements, while responding to enquiries from students, employers and parents/guardians.

Working collaboratively with Curriculum, Business Development and Careers Teams, you will build strong employer relationships and contribute to wider employer engagement activities, team meetings and staff development. You will also be expected to comply with College policies, including confidentiality, data protection, health and safety and risk management requirements.
