Post: Expectations for Learning Administrator
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Range: Grade 3, SCP 7-8, FTE salary £26,403.00 - £26,824.00, pro rata salary £23,327.00 -£23,699.00)
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Full Time 37 hours, 39 working weeks, 45.942 paid weeks
Base: Thornaby Academy, Baysdale Road, Thornaby, TS17 9DB
Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

Thornaby Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient individual to co-ordinate the support provision for students who need help in overcoming barriers to learning and developing their potential by raising standards of behaviour for learning. The role will involve organising and providing appropriate work and supervision to the students in the provision until and appropriate member of staff is available as well as providing information, reports and analysis on student behaviour. Crucially, this role serves as a vital communication link between the academy, parents, and external agencies. Rooted in a strong commitment to student welfare, the role demands strict adherence to all safeguarding, child protection, and GDPR protocols, ensuring a secure, equitable, and supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Thornaby Academy is a rapidly improving school, celebrating great success since joining Northern Education Trust in 2024. This role has been pivotal in maintaining the standards we expect of all of our students in order to overcome barriers and achieve outstanding outcomes.
