The post holder will provide comprehensive IT procurement, asset management and technical support services across the Trust. Responsibilities include assessing departmental IT equipment requirements, obtaining quotations, raising and progressing orders through the Trust's IT requisition process, and ensuring the timely resolution of supply and invoice-related queries. The role requires effective liaison with requisitioning departments, procurement, supplies and finance teams to maintain clear communication and support efficient service delivery.

The successful candidate will identify cost-effective purchasing options and potential savings opportunities while supporting the management of IT stock, asset databases and associated documentation. In addition, the post holder will assist with the configuration, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of PC hardware, software, peripheral devices and mobile technologies across the Trust, ensuring equipment is deployed and maintained to agreed standards and supporting the delivery of a reliable IT service to staff.

Assesses requirements, acquires quotes for and progresses orders through the trust IT requisition process Investigates and solves supply related problems by ensuring that invoice queries relating to orders placed by the team are resolved satisfactorily within set target times Maintains effective communication between requisitioning departments, supplies teams and finance teams via direct queries or supplies system updates. Suggests sources of supply / saving opportunities to departments Assists in configuring and providing support for all PC equipment, software and mobile devices throughout the trust including installation and troubleshooting of PC hardware, software and peripheral devices.

Manages and maintains IT stockrooms, asset database and documentation as appropriate to the role

Essential: - NVQ Level 4 or equivalent level qualification or experience; - Experience of purchasing or inventory control within the NHS or similar organisation.; - A suitable level of education and computer skills

Desirable: - Full UK Driving Licence

Essential: - Experience in procurement role of a large complex organisation, preferably within the NHS.; - An excellent knowledge of products and suppliers used within the NHS

Desirable: - Experience of working in an Acute Hospital environment.

Essential: - Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with colleagues at all levels in the organisation; - Good planning and organisational skills; - Good numeric and literacy skills; - An ability to provide professional advice and guidance to customers
