As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. Working alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be: Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose, utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained, assisting in regular checks and maintenance, assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings, assisting in all decorating, liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects, participating in a 1 week retaining on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance, coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checks.

Be part of a team at this residential service for adults under 65 years with a Learning Disability, Autism and sensory and communication differences located in Creswell, a 10 minute drive from Worksop.

Dove House is a specialist, robust service to support people with ongoing complex needs and behaviours that challenge who are stepping down from hospital or to avoid an inappropriate admission to hospital and to enable them to return to their home area. The model was introduced to emulate community care for individuals with complex needs in robust, spacious accommodation.

The services are staffed 24 hours a day by a dedicated team of Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, Nurses and Support Workers.
