This is a senior leadership opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality data, insight and reporting that underpins effective decision-making, curriculum planning and funding optimisation.

As the MIS Director, you will lead the College’s MIS function, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant data to support both internal stakeholders and external funding bodies. You will play a critical role in maximising funding, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvement in data systems and reporting.

  • Lead the MIS team, driving high performance and continuous improvement, working closely alongside the MIS Systems Manager.
  • Provide high-quality data, analysis and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Oversee timely and accurate returns to external stakeholders, including ESFA and OfS, ensuring compliance with funding rules.
  • Support curriculum planning and funding maximisation through effective use of data and systems.
  • Produce and monitor academic income reports, including forecasting, pipelines and performance against targets.
  • Ensure the integrity, security and compliance of all student data systems and records.
  • Lead on internal audit and assurance processes relating to student data and funding.
  • Act as the key contact for external auditors and inspections, providing accurate data and follow-up actions.
  • Oversee subcontractor reporting and apprenticeship funding systems.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to ensure systems are integrated, effective and aligned with College strategy.
  • Provide training and guidance to curriculum managers on funding, qualifications and MIS systems.
  • Contribute to the College Management Team and support the delivery of the College Operational Plan.

We are looking for a driven and strategic leader with strong technical expertise and the ability to influence at senior level.

  • Hold a degree and/or professional qualification.
  • Significant experience of MIS within an FE or HE environment.
  • Strong understanding of FE and HE funding methodologies and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience managing returns to external funding agencies.
  • Experience leading and developing teams to achieve quality and financial targets.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and drive continuous improvement.
  • A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
  • Management qualification.

You will be a confident and credible leader with a passion for data-driven decision-making and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for students and the College.
