UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.
If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

Essential: - Good standard of education including Maths and English GCSE; - Computer qualification e.g. ECDL or equivalent experience
Essential: - Reception and telephone work with direct client/patient contact; - Booking appointments / maintaining a diary system; - Problem solving; - Able to prioritise work, negotiate and make decisions; - Able to work both as part of a team and also using own initiative
Desirable: - Experience of hospital/care work
Essential: - Keyboard/typing skills (eg. RSA II or equivalent experience); - Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the following Windows applications - Outlook, Word and Excel.; - Able to file and maintain accurate records.; - Data accuracy on computer systems.
Essential: - Able to comprehend the nature of the work, the Data Protection Act, and able to comprehend the importance of accuracy in all aspects of work.; - Knowledge of patient pathways and RTT waiting times
Desirable: - .Knowledge of Camis and other hospital computer system.
Essential: - Able to communicate with a wide range of people face to face, and by telephone.; - Able to work under pressure amid interruptions.
Desirable: - Awareness of special needs of patients.; - Able to demonstrate initiative and be able to work as part of a team.; - Able to cope with difficult people and situations.
Essential: - Be receptive to change.; - Be flexible and willing to adapt duties to meet the needs of the service.; - Able to cover extra hours if required.
Desirable: - Interested in working with patients.; - Willing to undergo training as required.
