  • Work at pace to support recruiting managers and candidates throughout the recruitment journey, contributing to the Trust's 30-day time-to-hire target.
  • Support candidates to understand pre-employment check requirements in line with NHS Employment Check Standards.
  • Advise managers on recruitment policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Prepare and issue conditional offer letters and employment contracts.
  • Complete all pre-employment checks accurately and efficiently.
  • Contribute to reducing vacancy levels and maintaining safe staffing across the Trust.
  • Attend recruitment events on occasion to promote the Trust and support candidate attraction.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries from managers and candidates in a timely and professional manner.

UHD are investing, developing and transforming Trust services in line with the New Hospital Programme. As part of this, some services may move site this year or next, either temporarily or permanently. Recruiting Managers will be happy to answer any service-specific questions at interview.

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.

Essential: - Good standard of general education or equivalent demonstrable work experience; - Vocational level 3 qualification in relevant field (IT/HR/Administration) or equivalent level of experience.

Desirable: - Certificate in Personnel Practice (CIPD); - European Computer Driving Licence or other relevant IT qualification; - Recruitment training / qualification

Essential: - Demonstrable experience of dealing with recruitment issues; - Administrative experience in a busy office environment; - Good customer services skills

Desirable: - Experience in using ESR and Trac or other ATS or HR systems.; - NHS recruitment experience

Essential: - Good customer services skills; - Able to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word to an intermediate level; - Able to evidence the ability to quickly learn new HR systems and software

Essential: - Professional approach to customers; - Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines; - Excellent attention to detail
