The Greater Manchester Remediation Delivery Team is looking for Resident Engagement Officers to support residents living in buildings affected by fire safety defects and remediation programmes.
The team is led by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS), which sits within the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA). Working alongside local authorities, housing providers, residents and national partners, the team supports the delivery of the Greater Manchester Remediation Acceleration Plan and the city-region's commitment to ensuring residents are safe and feel safe in their homes
Working as part of a dedicated regional team, you will support residents living in buildings undergoing remediation, helping them access information, raise concerns and connect with the organisations responsible for delivering improvements.
- Provide advice, guidance and signposting to residents.
- Build positive relationships with resident groups and stakeholders.
- Develop clear and accessible communications and engagement materials.
- Support resident meetings, events and consultation activities.
- Monitor resident feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Work with housing providers, local authorities, government agencies and industry partners to address concerns and improve outcomes.

- A strong team player, working with the wider Remediation Delivery Team and management to find the appropriate support and outcome for the resident
At GMCA, you'll help deliver our shared vision of a thriving city-region where everyone can live a good life. This role supports Greater Manchester's wider ambitions around Housing First, Healthy Homes for All and ensuring residents are safe and feel safe in their homes.
As part of GMFRS and the Greater Manchester Remediation Delivery Team, you'll work on a high-profile programme that is helping residents affected by fire safety remediation across the city-region. You'll collaborate with residents, campaign groups, local authorities, housing providers and national partners to improve communication, strengthen engagement and support positive outcomes for residents.
You'll also join a supportive organisation that values collaboration, innovation, wellbeing and professional development, working alongside colleagues across GMFRS, GMCA and partner organisations throughout Greater Manchester.
Standard DBS
The role holder will be subject to an Standard level check by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
