A rare and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the retail catering team at UHD. The successful candidate will work as part of the tea...

Ensure the day to day smooth, consistent and efficient running of the retail restaurant outlets. Train new starters and ensure continued refresher training is under taking where needed.

Ensure that all areas of the retail restaurants outlets are hygienic and the highest standards of cleaning is undertaken. Comply with any recommendations made by department hygiene audits. Sign off any actions within given timescales and work within trust guidelines.

Ensure items that are on sale are managed for freshness, date coding and replenished in a timely manner.

Monitor and maintain all food allergen controls in line with legal and trust policies and procedures.

Organise, plan, record and ensure completion of daily tasks, support the team during peak rush periods, monitor portion control and the recording of waste.

Essential: - GCSE grade 4-9 (A* to C); - Education to NVQ level 3 / equivalent related catering field

Desirable: - Experience of working within an NHS environment

Essential: - Previous supervisory experience including managing staff (+1 year); - Experience in working in a restaurant / catering role / similar related field (+1 year); - Computer literate; - Experience in delivering training to new and existing staff

Essential: - knowledge and experience of Food Safety, Allergens and Health & Safety policies

Desirable: - LV2 Food Safety and Allergens training
