Revenues Officer
Technical 3A
Salary: £28,142 - £29,540 (SCP 11-14), 2026/27 pay award pending
Hours – 37 hours per week. Will consider part time (minimum 30 hours)
Overview
There is an opportunity for a Revenues Officer to join the Service within the Finance team, reporting to the Senior Revenues Officer. The role would suit someone who has previously worked with accounts payable and receivable systems, although on the job training will be available. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, good attention to detail and who enjoys teamwork.
- Assist in maintaining the efficient operation of the Accounts Payable System including processing invoices for payments.
- Assist in maintaining the efficient operation of the Accounts Receivables System including raising debtor invoices, e.g. Special Service Charge invoices
- Deal with queries relating to supplier creditor payments and debtor invoices to customers.
- Produce and check the BACS payment file daily
- Produce various system reports as and when required
- The opportunity to assist the wider Finance team with basic accountancy work
Experience and skills
- Candidates will need a basic understanding of the use of ICT systems, such as Microsoft Office 365 and similar digital tools. Effective and professional communication and organisation skills are also vital to this role.
- In addition, candidates will need to have:
- Experience of using Accounts Payables and Accounts Receivable systems, particularly Oracle.
- An understanding of the Construction Industry tax scheme (CIS) and other payments legislation.
- The ability to interpret and action complex financial legislation.
- The ability to answer queries and solve problems arising from work processed.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and good IT skills
All successful candidates will be required to consent to a basic DBS check prior to commencement of employment.
