Candidates must be HCPC Registered, with a minimum of 3 years post-registration laboratory experience within a clinical laboratory and hold an MSc or equivalent in Biomedical Science. Candidates should be highly experienced in all aspects of routine Blood Transfusion.

Essential: - MSc or equivalent in Biomedical Science; - Registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist; - Be able to demonstrate a broad level of specialist knowledge and practical experience by possession of an Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) Specialist Portfolio or equivalent; - Evidence of continuing professional development
Desirable: - Management qualification; - BBTS Certificate in Transfusion Practice
